Guatemala is known worldwide by their natural and cultural wealth, customs and traditions, it give us a unique identity against other countries.
375. CHAPINA FAIR AND GREAT CENTRAL AMERICAN PAVILION IN THEIR ELEVENTH EDITION
There are 1.5 million Guatemalans living in the United, who emigrated in search of a better future for them and their families.
From July 9th to 12th of 2015 will take place in Los Angeles, California the eleventh edition of the successful Fair Chapina and the Great Central American Pavilion 2015, the most expected event where thousands of Guatemalans and Central Americans attend, looking for products that are only produced in their countries, reviving memorable moments.
For this year will assist lots of artisans and Guatemalan producers, with quality products. Various of this products are produced by Moreria Santo Tomas and Makario's Artisans, which are located in Panajachel, Sololá and their owners are from Santo Tomas Chichicastenango, Quiche.
Makario'S Artisans make products with typical fabrics using it in women and men shoes, bags, cloth, accessories, also Ms. Manuela de Macario is the creator of the Hacky Sacky crochet balls.
Moreria Santo Tomas makes wood crafts as: masks, decorations, antiques, painted frames and handmade carving, among others.
It is important to mention that the University Del Valle of Guatemala located in Sololá, through the program PROMIPYME, will be supporting various products that will be in the fair, giving consulting, training and technical assistance.
Also, for the first time will be participating the Global Network of Indigenous Entrepreneurs, led by their president Maria Tuyuc and the Indigenous Mayor of Chichicastenango, led by Don Tomas Calvo Mateo, Mayor Indigenous Authority of Guatemala.
The Chapina Fair and the Great Central American Pavilion, are successful without precedents, thanks to the prestigious organization and the constant innovation, that have deserve the rate of the best Central American event in United States, allowing to publicize the benefits of our region in an international and multicultural context.
