Guatemalan's economy occupies the fifth place between open economies in Latin America, making it one of the most attractive for investment attraction.
Due to our geographical location and being between 2 oceans, our country serves as a link between North America and South America.
Our natural, cultural and human wealth, makes our country is admired all over the world.
This factors were fundamental for Guatemala to be chosen to host the IX Americas Competitiveness Forum with the topic: "Stronger Institutions = More competitiveness", which will be held from 16 to 18 of November.
The IX Americas Competitiveness Forum will reunite more than a 1,000 people from representatives of government, private sector, academic circles, international organizations, which will increase our competitiveness as the country and as a region, bringing more prosperity and economic opportunities.
This forum is organized by the Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC) and has previously been held in the United States, Chile, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago. In Guatemala, it was chaired by the Guatemalan Industrial Chamber.
The Guatemalan economy is the most strongest in the Central America and The Caribbean region, we are a country with good relations around the world, which makes us a key country to other nations.
The IX Americas Competitiveness Forum will be a window to announce the strengths and potentials that Guatemala has, and thus there will be more opportunities for investments that will generate employment sources for the benefit of the population.
