382. BUSINESS ETHICS, KEY FACTOR FOR COMPETITIVENESS

Around the world the practice of CSR has been developed, companies implement programs and projects to reaffirm their commitment to society.

Currently our countries are going through a crisis of corruption, which all sectors of society must face.

Companies play an important role to eradicate this scourge that is causing us serious problems, acting with ethics and not allowing corruption to flourish.

Under the Eighth National Forum of Corporate Social Responsibility, the main topic approach was: COMPANIES +  ETHICS = SUCCESS, which intended that Business Ethics become a key factor to fight corruption and raise the competitiveness of our countries.

This year the main speaker was Dr. Bernardo Kliksberg, International expert, recognized worldwide as the founder of a new discipline, the Social Management and as a pioneer of "Ethics for Development" Social Capital and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) .

He is the author of 63 books and hundreds of papers on various areas of development, corporate social responsibility, senior management, capital, fighting poverty, ethics and economics.

Guatemala is a country with general welfare, where sustainable development is generated by companies operating in a culture of values, with respect for the law and long-term vision.

Corporate Social Responsibility is a competitive advantage that enables companies to achieve sustainability in the market.

The Eighth National CSR Forum brought together all sectors of Guatemala and will serve as a basis for sharing and respecting ideas that allow us to build a great country.
